Warrior's Way By ColdHeart | The Warrior Way He stood up from his little table by the fire, the sword strapped to his back. The blade's blue handle had a crest of cross over lapping a raven. The sheath with seven Rubies embedded into it, seemed to glow ominously as those poor souls in the tavern watched spell bound by his pure black eyes. When he drew the dagger and proceeded to cut the throats of those who sat closest to him and take the small amounts of money they had. He left through the main door as he came into the Night his hood was blown back by the wind revealing shining blood red hair. (ColdHeart, Young Adult, 5/31/2006 12:16:34 PM) Warrior whistled for his horse, Cheggars, who seemed to bolt straight to his masters command. Cheggars was Warrior's loyal and faithful companion. They were inseperable, except from the times when they were apart. Warrior did what he wanted, when he wanted, where he wanted and to whom he wanted. This was his way, this was Warrior's way. Little did he know though that one of those throats he had just cut belonged to one of the Hart Foundation boys. Word was quickly despatched to the groups leader, Macho Man the Savage. Warrior had just upset the wrong dude, for none were as evil as our Macho, none were as back stabbing as our Macho, none were as bearded as our Macho. Warrior returned home for a well earned rest and his nightly hot chocolate, totally not knowing the wrath the next day would bring to him. (Edward, Age 13 to 18, 7/16/2007 7:09:12 PM) The fire crackled in the fireplace as Warrior sipped his drink. He listened to the munching of carrots wolfed down by Cheggars. Other than that, the silence was heavy and eerie. Warroir sensed that something was wrong. A sudden strong foul smell clogged his nose. Ugh, only Macho the Savage smelled like this. That could only mean one thing...Macho was near. "For revnge of the slaughtering of one of his comrades, I should think,"he said to himself. There was a big loud banging on the door. "WARRIOR! COME OUT, COME OUT WHERE EVER YOU ARE!" Snickers accompanied the rough voice. Macho and his gang. Cheggars had heard Macho, and was by Warrior's side. It was time to bail. (UnNown, Age 8 to 12, 10/16/2007 11:18:15 PM) Warrior leaped onto Cheggars's back. If they wanted him, they had to catch him first. Warrior adjusted his sword and smiled. To bail, he had to use the front door, where Macho and his men were banging. But he had one element on his side-surpise. As if to know what Warrior was thinking, Cheggars tensed his muscles. He loved surpises as much as Warrior did. With a nudge of his heels, Cheggars leped forwrd and bought the door down charshing. Macho and his gang jumped out of the way and stared. Cheggars reared up and kicked those in the way, narrowly missing Macho. And then he galloped out there! Making a sharp turn right, Cheggars sprinted arcross the cobble grounds. Cheggars perked his ears, and could hear their outraged screaming and hear them running after he and his master. "Let's give them a wild goose chase, Cheggars!" Warrior laughed into the night as his cloak streamed out like waves behind him. Those who say outlaws have no humor are wrong; they did have humor, but in a twisted way. And Warrior, being no exception, thought being chased by blood thirsting mobs, was funny. Cheggars whinneyed with his master, as though he ,too, thought it as funny. "If they want me, they have to go the Warriors Way." A dead silence came from above. No one, except Warrior and Cheggars, went the Warriors way. (UnNown, Age 8 to 12, 10/18/2007 11:16:49 PM) The Warriors Way. Just the sound of its name made the trees bow, and hearts stop. No one ever went the Warriors Way, but they all know of the horrors that hide there, waiting, waiting.... Even though the Warrior and his horse went there without fear, they always came back slightly shaken. If they got spooked by the Warriors Way, then who knows of the horrors and the decaying deaths that hide, and live, there. (UnNown, Age 8 to 12, 10/28/2007 3:48:28 PM) As the young Warroir Thundered Down Warroirs Way At Great Spead he took the chance to look back, But it looked Macho smarter then he looked, he had stopped his gang and they watch as Warroir Slipped into the ever lasting darkness Of warroirs way. It looked like a ghost town basicly it was but Warroir Always had a soft spot for it, And not ever his horse knew why... (Katie , Age 13 to 18, 11/13/2007 10:28:12 PM) The moon was a pale light obscurred by the choking drakness of the night sky. The stars were dead, and there was not enough light to show the way. Fortunately, the Warrior was a pro at emergency like this and he had been to the Warriors Way many times before. His blue handled sword banged against his tigh as Cheggars slowed to a trot. Leaves swirled in mini tornadoes and his shining red hair reached out and grabbed at the leaves almost playfully. Eerie boulders rose from each side of the path and towering trees loomed overhead. When taken with a closer look, the boulders were really tombstones. A slight shiver rolled down the Warrior's spine and he pulled his cloak tighter around him. He did so not in bitter coldness, but in pure fear of what laid ahead. Cheggars's ears laid flat on his head, a sure sign that he too was afraid. An owl hooted, but then all was silent. Finally, after a long hour of fearful traveling, the duo came to a dead end: piles and piles of toppled trees stacked ontop of each other blocked the way. The Warrior, however, kept a clam face throughout this. "Father...,"hissed his barely audible voice. "I'm back..." A rumbling groan shook the forest. "SO YOU'VE COME BACK, MY SON." A cracking sound filled the air... (UnNown, Age 8 to 12, 3/12/2008 11:18:40 PM) There was a crack. The Warrior spun around in time to see a tree come to life and swing a fist at him. The Warrior dodged and tears filled his eyes as he drew his sword. "Father? Father..." (ALALALA, Age 8 to 12, 4/10/2008 12:28:38 PM) The tree swung another fist at him. He carefully timed it and at the the right moment, he sliced off the possesed tree's branch. The tree made an eerie screech as the sap soaked the ground. The tree said, "Son what have you done?"The warrior then said "I did what had to be done." A ghost like figure approached the warrior from behind. (dane struyf, Age 8 to 12, 5/12/2008 5:49:39 AM) The Warrior quickly whipped his head around. It was his father, a tree spirit. "You tried to kill me," the Warrior said, backing away. "You have angered the Great Bearded One, and you shall pay," screamed the tree spirit, slm bm ,m l,blb advancing. "What happened to you?!" the Warrior dodged a large branch that his father flung at him. The Warrior knew that his father was being controlled by someone, or something, for he was not himself. "You have angered the Savage. You shall pay!" Immediately, large vines sprung up and wrapped around his ankles and pinned his arms to his sides. He struggled and tried to slice through the vines with his sword. They wrapped around his neck. The Warrior couldn't breathe. He weakly fell to his knees and dropped his sword. The last thing he saw before he blacked out was his father beside a large bearded man with an evil grin. (q, Age 1 to 4, 11/29/2008 7:09:45 PM) |
