Who Did It?

(0) The lifeless body of Sir Raymond lay on the couch like a patient ragdoll as the crime scene investigators filled the library with their noise and equipment. Lady Estelle was sitting sobbing somberly in the corner, her neice passing her Kleenex after Kleenex and whispering reassurances. The defences of Angus House had been breached and Sir Raymond was the victim, but who would do such a thing? This was a remote location in the British countryside; people did not just drop by, and certainly not to murder someone as well liked as Sir Raymond. A hush came across everyone, except Sir Raymond, who had remained silent throughout, as Detective Inspector Rathbone cleared his throat, as if to speak. Realising that the room had quietened to his cue, and with nothing better to say, Rathbone spluttered "Ah. Er. Has anyone a cough sweet I could have?" (Ash, Adult, 9/14/2006 5:46:53 AM, WhoDidIt)

(1) There was a general but restrained rustling as pockets, purses and handbags were quickly checked. Rathbone watched carefully. Soon after the bustle began, a lady reached forward and handed him a neatly wrapped cough drop. Rathbone nodded his thanks, as he turned away while unwrapping the small sweet, popping it into his mouth then slipping the wrapper into his pocket. Slowly he made his way toward Sir Raymond, hand to his chin. Rathbone knelt down and began his examination. Suddenly, to the horror of all in the room he turned a frightening shade of red, made a strangling noise and fell across the corpse, his eyes wide open searching the room as he gasped for air.
