When was he there for ME?

(0) Jimmy Hogan was 13 and was quite popular. He wanted to hang with the popular kids. None of his friends could understand why. He had money, good looks, he was smart, and had a great personality. He also was a Catholic (which is very important in this story. You shall find out soon enough.). He decided that it was time for him to become popular. So he walked over to the most popular kids in school. You know... the kids that smoke, take drugs, drink, steal and all those other things. "So ya wanna be part of our gang? Your gonna have to complete a few tasks for us. The first task is to answer a few simple questions." said the leader of the gang, Zack. A girl with a tongue peirce came from behind Zack and read out the questions, "Question number 1. Are you Catholic?" she asked in a bored tone. This was quite difficult for Jimmy to answer as he was only rich, smart, and a great guy because the Lord had blessed him. What would happen if lied for the first time in his life? Better yet, what would happen if he lied about his religion for the first time? But he wanted to be popular! The Lord could surely understand that! "No." he replied. (1) Jimmy then thought of what he had said and then saw a flashback of what his life was and how God was there for him. He had money, the looks , he was smart and had a great personality. He felt a knot tie to his stomach. Had god understood when he needed help , had god understood when he wanted someone to be there for him? Yes he did and would god understand when he said "No " to that Question ? Thn the kids said "You're in." and Jimmy didn't know that , that was the start of a new chapter in his life. (2) Jimmy didn't feel like he was in the gang. All he really felt was confusion and sadness. "It's a time for me to change I guess......" he kept on saying to himself. During days, he hanged out with the popular gang fora short amount of time every 3 days. Days went by, he had improved on being a little confident. But VERY little improvement develops each day. But what really went through his head is...... "But Catholic is a VERY strong religion......" Sometimes he tried to block it and ignore it, sometimes it made him think for hours... (4) Jimmy thought about being in the gang a lot, especially at night. He wondered if this was really what he wanted or needed. He wondered about the start of the new chapter in his life. He wondered how things would change if the truth were known. After all Catholic is a VERY strong religion......" (Sue, Age 8 to 12, 2/17/2005 2:06:56 PM, WhenwashethereforME)

(5) But yet he wanted to have fun. Be just like the other kids. What was more important? He was so confused.. (Katherine, Age 8 to 12, 3/2/2005 7:36:07 AM, WhenwashethereforME)

(6) So he kept on thinking maybe just maybe he could just lie for the rest of his life... but no. It kept going around and around in his head catholic is a VERY strong religon. So he thought for a few more days he couldn't quite make up his mind. So that night he forced himself to not go to sleep until he made up his mind, he sat infront the freezing aircon infront of his table in his room to keep him awake. By morning he found himsewlf sleeping at his table. He'd fallen asleep all night. Now he felt stupidity in his mind he'd given himself a cold..but then he told his mum so he got to stay at home. That gave him more time to think but he'd been sleeping all day too!!. So the next day he went to hang out in the popular gang and he'd still had not made up his mind.. (9) "Why not," Jimmy asked coldly. "Because once your in the gang you can't walk out," Zack growled. " No, I'm leaveing," Jimmy said. Suddenly he felt something bit him. It was a huge wolf. " Welcome to the pack," Zack said changeing to a wolf before Jimmy's eyes. (Fresnohorsegirl, Age 13 to 18, 5/11/2005 11:47:36 AM, WhenwashethereforME)

(10) Jimmy wasn't really affected by the wolf's bight and said, "Are you a demon in wolf's clothing?" "Yeah, sure," Zack growled... (Liz, Age 8 to 12, 6/7/2005 3:48:24 PM, WhenwashethereforME)
