The Three Kings (0) The last of the men slowly rose to there feet staring out, over the hills of Zi, once green and lush, now a battlefield, bodies lay dead everywhere, the green was now red with the blood of thousands. Swords, spears and shields lay unwielded, only the unlucky ones could look upon the massacre thats was layed out before them. The survivors, covered in blood, slowly made there way through the bodies, checking for a sign of hope that someone else was alive, but none were, the few remaining survivors of the once proud Selti army, slowly made there way from the massacre, the Days of the conquering Nordi had begun and the last three kings had maded there choice. His friends had presented his sword to her. She didn't speak to anyone for the next few weeks. Her brother, Thorlin, was in the battle as well. The Nordi had killed him from behind as he was giving a wounded man one last drink of water. She now spoke to the saddened people of Seltin, "He was a good man. He died for his country. And he would not want this land that flows with colored waters to flow with blood and tears." She spoke bravely, even calmly, but everyone saw the tears flowing down her face. She was saddened to think that the young princess would grow up without a father. (sophian, Age 8 to 12, 8/11/2003 9:37:48 AM, The_Three_Kings) (2) Skip that paragrph. The more i read that, the stupider I think it is. The things I write isn't even worth reading, no wonder nobody's writing...okay...here it comes.... (sophian, Age 8 to 12, 8/25/2003 9:04:31 AM, The_Three_Kings) (3) Flames engulfed the town of Tendira as the villagers fled. The quem smeeled the smoke on the breeze and recognized where it came from immediatly. "Ana!" she shouted, looking for her two-year-old daughter. "Ana!!" "Hewe I am Mommy." The queen quickly turned around, taking a locket and a ring given to her by the king. Then she stuffed two loaves of bread and and osme fruit into a bag. Ana had noticed that her mother was preparing to go somewhere, and so she she ran to her room, and returned with half a dozen of her favorite dolls. "Ana, you can't take all of those!" her mother said. "one only." Ana dind't hesitate. She took the smallest one, a little fairy that her father gave her before he left. And with these in hand, they fled the city of Tendira. (sophian, Age 8 to 12, 8/25/2003 9:21:38 AM, The_Three_Kings) (4) The queen jumped onto the shiny white horse, helping Ana up as well. She commanded the horse to run in full speed. “But Mommy, why do we leave Tendira?†“We leave our sorrows Behind, Ana†"But what about Father?" The queen turned around and said heartfeltly, "We will find him. Just have hope and pray" They both left the city of Tendira burning to smithereens with the onlooking Ana who cried a tear and mumbled a prayer. (Sanjita, Age 13 to 18, 9/24/2003 8:23:22 PM, The_Three_Kings) (5) "Oh Gods." the queen said sharply. She and her daughter cast their eyes on the smoldering city of Ternon, that used to be so tall and proud. The queen's hands shook as they rode away from the city. How did she even dare to hope, just a bit, that- No, she wouldn't think of that, she wouldn't, not with little Ana here. (sophian, Age 8 to 12, 12/31/2003 9:31:01 AM, The_Three_Kings) |
