The Legend and Birth of Magic:

(0) In the Beginning There was only one magic force which was elemental magic and only 1 almight wizard by the name of the magical Merlin. There were other minor wizards and witches but not anywhere near as powerful as him. Unlike in the untrue stories Merlin did have children and others families had children as well. All os Merlin's children had the magical power that he has but one out of the 5 was more powerful than the rest. His name was Albus (Not Dumbledor). He processed the might and know how to create new spells or to alter the spells already know to this world. Unlike Albus Merlin had one child which was Black as the night. Her name was Matelda. She tryed to go aginst her brother and father. By this time her father (Merlin) was much to old to battle her and win. (PPotter, Age 13 to 18, 9/25/2002 3:04:08 AM, LegendandBirthofMagic)

(1) So Albus had to battle her. (storygirl10, Age 8 to 12, 9/27/2002 2:43:39 PM, LegendandBirthofMagic)

(2) (why is no one coming here) (elissa-may, Age 8 to 12, 9/27/2002 2:45:22 PM, LegendandBirthofMagic)

(3) (i'm thinking whoever wrote this sort of kept forgetting what she was writing in mid-thought while writing it....everything is innacurate and there's a thousand grammer and spelling mistakes, i swear) (This is kind of lame, Age 13 to 18, 10/31/2002 8:55:30 AM, LegendandBirthofMagic)

(4) it would'nt be if u tried to write something worth reading. (Brigid, Age 13 to 18, 2/11/2003 8:19:11 PM, LegendandBirthofMagic)

(5) Since we all seem to be complaining,we might as well write the story ourselves. Matelda did not kill them, she drove them to the mountains, where she thought they could not escape. Then she married Bemith, the evil duke who was NOT born magic. But his mother fed him magic, not milk so now he was magic. Eleven months later she had a baby girl who had more magic than Matelda. Matelda grew afraid of her, and she put her in a tree. And that is where the hawks found her... (I hope you will continue this,, Age 8 to 12, 3/7/2003 10:09:28 PM, LegendandBirthofMagic)

(6) The little girl looked at the hawks circling the tree in wonder. On the wide tree brach she bounced up and down and claped her hands in delight, making her back curls bounce and her large gray eyes dance in a way that only children could make them dance. Her delight grew more potent when the haws flew in spirals and circles and seemed to dance. In fact she became so absolutly entranced that her eyes changed and shifted from soft dark gray to colbat blue, and as they did this the forest errupted in song. There were pipes and flutes and betiful sthat came from no human instument. The little girs smile grew larger and she squealed falling back onto the trunk of the tree flaling her chubby legs and absolutly giddy, eyes turning from colbat blue to a delighted pink.as her laghter escalated the whole forest heard her and creatures answered her call.Creatures most people thought did not exist or had died out a long time ago.Vines sprung from the ground weaving their way towards the tree.Fire and wood nymphs danced around her head and had her laghing so hard she struggled for breath.at one point a fairy flew in front of her face. She cocked her haed to one side, eyes shining. And when the fairie kissed her on the tip of the nose she callasped into giggles all over again. This is how she grew up.Raised by the elements:fire, water, earth, and air. They willingly gave her their power and protection.Becouse they knew one day that she would meet Bemith (Brigid (i did not complain), Age 13 to 18, 3/24/2003 7:17:50 PM, LegendandBirthofMagic)

(7) Finally, someone continued this She left them eventually, armed with only a crude bow she had made as a child. No longer did she look small and babyish. She was tall and feirce, and her eyes at last had chosen there witch's color, a dark silver-gray. As she left the tree where she had grown up. She felt rebellion rising in her, and carefully fought it back. She kept back her magic, remembering her promise to herself not use her magic unless it was absulutely necessary. Slowly, she gave out a whistle and wrapped her arms around th neck of the beautiful rather small golden eagle who had answered her call. And slowly, she was lifted into the air. (Sorry, but a lot of kids did, Age 8 to 12, 4/9/2003 9:25:42 PM, LegendandBirthofMagic)

(8) She flew toward the mountains, where the wind had told her that she might be able to become a witch. She wondered whether it was the right choice. For though she was only a baby, she had known and remembered her mother Matelda. She remembered those hungry, hungry eyes. She, even at that tender age knew what her mother was thinking and remembered. She saw the animals who were loved. Loved. Loved by their mothers. The animals had loved her, but the way that the mothers had loved their children was different. An unbreakable bond, that not even death could seperate. She had always thought that something was missing form her life. And now she knew. She wanted to be part of that bond. Long ago, she had thought that her mother might come back. But now she knew better. She decided to study her magic in order to prove herself to her mother. To earn her trust. To earn her love.
