Into a New Land

(0) Susan was a young girl who lived in a small community, out in the forest. Her family owned an apple orchard, which was just beginning to bloom, since it was springtime. One afternoon, Susan went to play in the yard. She was wearing a nice, light spring dress, as she skipped among the large trees, which were beside the apple trees. As she watched a little ladybug crawl up the trunk of one of the trees, she noticed something. It looked like a small door. Carefully, Susan touched the imaginary wooden door. In a quick moment, Susan found herself in a new land. She was surrounded by butterflies, and bush. The sun was shining brightly onto the wonderful new world. (1) "Hello?" she called gently. She moved closer. Out of the bushes popped a tiny creature. It was lavender blue, with little purple ears. "Aw! How cute!" whispered Susan. (2) All around were beautiful lime green trees with tiny pink blossoms. The little creature sniffed the blossoms, then stuck out a little purple tounge and ate one. (3) "This is very tasty,"Susan said."Over there you can find blueberries and rasberries as well."The little creature said as it pointed to the other crops and velvet green grass."Y-y-you can talk?'Susan asked."Yes,This is a land were lots of dragon flies and butterflys live."the creature whispered."Why whisper?"Susan asked herself."Well cause we do not want to harm nor wake the queen.And we don't want to make any noice that much.This new land is very very delicate,as soon as you shout you can brake the sky and there will be no more of this this land."The creature said as it read Susan's mind."Dare to I ask, what this this place is called?'Susan asked.'Flower bloom city."The creature said."And,and what's your name?'Susan asked."It's not that much of a pretty name but it's Penelope,Penelope Rosebud."the creature said ahem Penelope said. (4) "Hello," said a voice. Susan was still is amazment that she didnt realize that someone was talking to her,as she kept looking around."Hello?" said the voice again. Then, she looked at the voice and screamed. It was the ugliest creature that she had ever seen. The creature jumped and hid in the bushes. "I am sorry, i didnt mean to scare you." said Susan. "Please come out." The creature slowly got up from under the bushes and stood up. "Um, Hi my name is Ommi" said the creature. "Hi, my name is Susan" she replied, "I never meant to starle you" The creature was indeed not the prettiest creature, in fact it really was the ugliest creature, but very nice to Susan. (5) After then became fully equainted, Ommi explained everything to her. "This is the land of Java, and I am a Jubilian Elf. (6) Susan frowned."Oh?" Ommi nodded and sadness filled his dark gray eyes."We've been trying for years to undo the curse, but it's no use. Perhaps the village Java will be cursed forever..." "Is there something I could do?" Susan whispered, kneeling down next to Ommi. Ommi looked out into the distance, "Maybe. I wouldn't know. But first, let me tell you about the curse..." (7) 'The Queen,Savilla,put a curse on us!We were once the most prettiest in the land.The female elves were as beautiful as one can imagine,the males so clever yet handsome.The Queen was utterly jealous,she ,the evil one,cast a spell on us all and took away our beauty and knowledge!' (8) "No one really knows how to break the spell," Ommi said sadly. "All we know is that the person who is able to do it is the person who," he furrowed his eyebrows in concentration and lifted his hands to the sun. All of a sudden, a sphere of light shone, cradled in his hands. When Susan looked more closely, she saw a slowly rotating woman, "The one who is able to save the race of the Jublian Elves will be born the month of the Sacretonia.." she itoned in a silverly voice. Susan was about to ask what a Sacretonia was, but was silenced when Ommi shook his head and motioned for her to be quiet. "The child will learn the arts of the Elves, and the child alone will be able to overthrow the might of Savilla... The child is of Elven descent and will learn the powers of a Jubilee Elf...The child will be marked as Savilla's equal by the Queen herself, banished from the Jubilee land, raised by other than the Jubilee race...the child will be born as the Sacretonia month arrives..." The sphere faded and disapeared. Susan finally asked, "What is Sacretonia?" The elf began to tell everything about his country. Susan said,"I'll help you in any way that I can" "I think that we need to find this child that the prophecy speaks of." "I'll come with you." "But, I'll need to teach you a few things first."
